if (when) you buy c902...make sure it have firmware 002 from start. (just start the phone in the store and check it), then you have the best firmware DPY-flashed from start...(no need to run home and uppdate with crappy SEUS......SEUS place the firmware in a different way ("layer by layer"), cant be compared to a clean installation with EMMA...thats why i give this tip)

my first c902 had fw 035, i said i wanted to have a other one...no problemo, they just brought a other one..this time with fw 002.

@elmo...just use M2 card..then you will be fine

i wonder about one thing...how in hell do the camera reconize a human face (talking about the face detection)...

first i point at my Cat face, (no square)........then i point at a doll face (quite similar to a young child), (no square)....then i point at a picture with my daughter on, (SQUARE CAME)...then a point at a living person, (and square came of course)........

so how does face detection works...its a really strange function.

ps. the new web browser on C902 is really awesome...so much easier with the new "mouse-finger"...its really easy to choose files and stuff

You will find that the latest version of SEUS works differently now. This new version works in the same way as it does when updating the Symbian handsets. Everything on the phone is deleted (same way as the process using Wotanserver, Davinci etc) and then the new software is installed onto the phone making it a clean flash.
When using SEUS on any phone. You now HAVE to make sure that you've backed up everything you need to keep (Contacts, Calender, Notes, Tasks etc) as they are all erased.

This is a problem with me as I use the calender a lot and the only way to back it up is via the PC Suite and that doesn't back up the calender properly.

no its not really done yet. i spoke to support about that mather. they said it "will" become like you saying.... (SEUS will be similar to EMMA...or something like that)

they only new thing ive saw on SEUS (yesterday) was some new "choices" before you press the uppdate button.

I've updated an O2 branded C902 this morning mate and everything was deleted. Had to put all user data back on the phone.
Also updated a K850 and my own sim free C902 today and luckly I'd already backed up everything I needed as the phones were completly wiped. It certainly is already on there.

My SEUS version is 2.8.7.11

Also. On 's website under Update Service. They've added a new warning:

Note: You should always backup the personal data stored on your phone before commencing an update.

That's not going to work! People will read that and assume it's simply good advice because updates can go wrong. They'll still expect an update that works to keep the data, and that deleting the data means it didn't work!

I would re-write the text to make it totally clear that all data WILL BE LOST when doing the update.

Of course, people will only make the mistake once.

I've just debranded using Davinci to 002 firmware and it seems much faster.

Will see if there are any camera improvements.

What other improvements can I expect to see?

Its not on my sim free western european C902 or my dads O2 branded C902. The only options are orientation and update media.

The TV out was supposed to have been in the C902 but I think it was removed on the release. Would have been a good thing to have really as Samsung phones have had the TV out feature for a long time now.
