Well fbloise mine was the UK CV variant. I say was because I had to take mine back again today. This latest one refused to charge this morning, not by cable or wirelessly. This is the third one I've had to return and im not having another. Its a real shame because I had no battery or camera issues, just lots of other problems !! I have exchanged mine for S5, so I've gone form having 2 WP8 handsets to having 2 Android handsets in a week !! I made a mistake when I sold my 1520 and will go back to that handset at the first opportunity. I really like WP8 and will continue to support the OS but I think my 930 days are over......shame really.
Well after trying an S5, One M8 and iPhone 5s to use as my 2nd handset, along with my 1520, I'm now back with an Orange Lumia 930. after my experience with quality issues on my last 930 I'm hoping this one is OK. I've upgraded to the official 8.1.1 firmware and so far so good. No screen tint issues, no battery life issues although I've never had a battery life issue with any of my previous 930's. no build quality problems. I've already has comments about the colour though ! it is very, very bright

I am back to the 808
After you have this camera and battery life and all the other stable and great bits, anything I try feels like shit. So I'm back to iPod 5th + Nokia 808.
Bye 930

I bought my 3rd 808 about 2 1/2 months ago and sold it about 5 weeks later. Even taking the fantastic camera into account, along with an OS that I used to find a pleasure to use, in my opinion using the 808 as a daily driver is now fast becoming a chore. I'm glad your happy with the 808 but sooner or later your going to have to give it up.
You were never really happy with your 930 when you had it anyway were you ?

At some times, yes i was happy but all the limitations and the fact that i was expecting the same camera as in the 1520 just to be let down with dark photos and a weird OIS. Not sure but the camera wasnt what i expected.
I had a last hour change of heart and didnt sell the 930. Will keep it. Why?
Because I know the 920 when was launched took awful photos and was resolved in few updates. I am hoping I will see the same with the 930.
ah, and windows 10. Hopefully next year and I already have the hardware so, why not?

I have to be honest, I have a 1520 and 930 and I think the cameras are the same. In fact all 4 of the 930's I've had all seemed to take comparable pictures to the 1520.
You really must have a faulty unit if you pictures are coming out dark.

Yeah.. there is no replacement for that thing out there right now..
You could try the iPhone 6 until Microsoft get the next camera flagship out.. I am really hoping they are not holding that just to have a unique device when they release Windows 10.

This weekend I was able to take awesome photos. The secret: DO NOT USE AUTOMATIC SETTINGS!
I modified a bit according to the climate (sunny, in my example) and the photos were very good. Also I tested the ProShot app, and same thing: never automatic and modify a bit the EV and the White balance.
