I have completely lost my faith in DxoMaRK now !
First Z2> 808 than Z2=Z3 and now i$hit >> 808, 1020, Z3, Z2 and S5 ...
They have gone nuts!
I know I'm no one to question them but IMO they need to take new lessons from ground up.

come on. u have faith in them only if the z2 is on top?
they have their standards. they only test the auto mode at 8 MP. it's not the best of what the camera can do with the manual adjustments.
this does not make the z3 any worse.
sony has finally created flagship devices fans can brag about so there's no reason to feel bad about this.
1. bright display that is legible outdoors but efficient. even the lowest brightness level is also excellent at 2 nits. good viewing angles. adjustable white balance if you don't like the overly blue screen.
2. longest lasting battery among flagships
3. great design that is comfortable to hold. thin body.
4. i think it will also not break during the AA drop test since the design is very similar to the predecessors with corner bumpers added
5. front facing stereo speakers
6. 2nd best camera among top smartphones according to dxomark
7. IP68
8. noise cancellation
9. ps4 remote play
10. and more - double tap to wake, sub apps for the camera (direct youtube upload is particularly great), high res audio, excellent image stabilization, cheaper price at launch compared to z1 and z2, etc
here's the reason why sony should not be allowed to exit the smartphone market. they know how to listen to customer needs. they know what is necessary.
now, sony should just spend a little more for the marketing. if they have to put every xperia z3 on the music videos of all their artists, they should do it. if they have to produce a film with prominent z3 placement, they should proceed with it.

@ascariss
Yeah it was not even Exmor RS, but the specifications are quite remarkable, even for today's standards.

GSMarenas camera reviews are always suspect, I don't think they test things properly.

gsmarena have brain damage? Z3 clearly looks the best in their camera test.

Woow, Z3 camera is awesome! Finally Sony fixed the camera, now I'm not sure if I should wait for Z4 or just get Z3. I didn't expect such a big improvement in camera
And GSMArena saying the camera is not competitive is funny, but anyway they provide comparison tool that says otherwise. They will also for sure make a shootout, that will have to show Z3 in good light.
What's more funny is DXOmark giving the same score for Z2 and Z3 when the difference is not from this world
I can also accept apologizes for calling me troll for saying that Z1 and Z2 camera underdelivers and is crap. Which was true from begining but now you have unquestionable proof.
