Thanks for the replys lads.
The gprs notification is a welcome bit of info, i just thought the image in the rom was corrupt and not showing the "blue as a transparency"
as for the syncing, its the bain of my life atm, had all this trouble a few months ago when my ipaq was new. it soon came to light and it works well on the ipaq, just expect it takes time to work out why i have multiple entries from some contacts and i think spawns hit it on the head with the SIM contacts.
one thing that i have noticed is on missed calls, i dont get a time of the call....i get the date that the call was missed but no time, is this usual or the orange firmware just being short on the features.
I would like the shortcuts that the unbranded firmware offeres, seams like thats the only thing going for it over my orange branded firmware atm. No other complaints about it over a unbranded phone.
The interfernce is still present on calls, but i have not updated to my new sim yet.

But compared to the Vodaphone live branded phones I beleive the orange brandings are generally much better - not nearly as much branding on those afaik

im might just b lucky but my k700 is great iv had NO problems abosolutly none the fone is great i dont no another fone with some many functions. I have had a problem with mt handset manager though u can only send files of a cirtain size any 1 no any better BT file transfering software.

Well My K 700i..is perfectly Ok..No problems of any hang ups or any major issues..Yes! the only thing I figured wrong with the phone is the battery..Does'nt seem to last more than a day.I use the phone more for camera/Mp3 in comparision with talk time..! But yes I minimize everything and also I run the Waip theme which according to my observation consumes the large amount of battery charge..! the lowest is used if you use Flo..!
The Power save mode's doesnt make much difference in the battery cept for the display it conks off in seconds...
So In all My baby rocks..! She's the best phone I ever had..cosidering I got her Free...! In exchange of my Z 600 at no extra cost..! lol
@ Sappro..I have the My Friends Option...Beats me why it does not show on your model..Maybe its a regional issue...here in India nobody uses my friends but still I have it..!

I have the new R2E011 firmware version but I don´t advise the upgrade. Differences:
- battery increased about 10-15%;
- java games don´t use so many battery
- images in screen are a little better
BUT
- contact missing name problem remains;
- in calendar, the bold number (of the day) when some appointment exists is gone! Now, in the month view, all days are equal!
Though the appointments are still active.

It appears that the time appears on the "all calls tab", "answered tab" and "dialled tab", but not on the"missed Calls" tab.
Weird, can there possibley be any reason SE left this out?

I use T9 and made an entry in "My Words" that goes like this: ...Ü
Whenever I type 1-1-1-8 it goes ...Ü and then when I push the joystick to the right the phone resets!
Anybody can confirm that this can happen to your k700? Is it just me or is it the firmware?

Got mine K700i 2 days ago... done a lot of reading & learning about all the features & stuff... allmost everything works fine, only 2 (or 1 problem) I did come accross :
1. If I do "lock phone > automatically", it does still ask phone pin every time I turn it on (didnt change or remove sim). Did try to change option to ON... no change... if OFF then of course no pin asking...
2. HF that did came with the phone... if I listen radio, and call comes in, now sound can be heard from headset, only via phone. Ok, it does stop the radio, but it would be nice if it rang via headset to.

No comment on the battery issue (2 charges made) & syncing and others, because have not tested them all yet. Bluetooth option I did test, works fine on mine. PC uses USB BT5000U (

) - no crashing or other anomalies noted yet.
Pricetag was AWFUL ... 7290.- local, 466.- € ... but it does contain paymentplan and fees so I'm not complainin much.
And I DO LIKE my newest phone. My old one was T28s, that I did buy 2000 march !!! And absolutely no problems with it.

This was not left out be S//E
- I also have time under missed calls tab on my unbranded phone.
