Your eyes look rather hypnotic ... look into my eyes, not around the eyes, but into my eyes ...

funny you should say that. as part of my years of alternative therapies studies I have done some hypnotherapy studies though actually that look is more for the stage acts than for real therapy

I've done a couple of people volunteers in class but at the moment until I finish the certification am not really allowed to do anyone outside of my immediate family
its a very interesting and powerful modality and I really only started it for a laugh, as I did reflexology, but now I am hooked on it possibilities

The hat is very becoming! The hypnosis thing...theoretically, you can make someone do ANYTHING?

theoretically, maybe, but it does come down to susceptability of the subject and a certain willingness to do what you want

@masseur
Are you just interested in alternative medicine or spirituality as well?

I think a certain amount of spirituality always comes into the modalities in alternative therapies because you learn alot of the history, like form the chinese etc, and it does play a part in setting the mood and your own frame of mind for healing. But I have never really gone overboard with it and crystals, for example, are definitly a big giggle for me

How long do you have to study the likes of hypnotherapy or reflexology before you feel ready to treat someone? Is there any danger in performing these techniques without understanding them completely?

@masseur
My mother once had acupuncture to help her back, she was jolly well pleased with the results. I did wonder whether it would do any good, but it seemed to help her quite a bit, more so than the drugs prescribed by her doctors.
