I will probably wait since the Europe version lacks one of the US frequencies. Although it has a better video recording though.
Has anyone got confirmation if the radio frequencies are a matter of software or hardware. If the first one, then the problem could be solved just by flashing cooked Radio rom to it. If people in states would also like to have the better video recording and all the frequencies. If it's hardware based issue, then there is nothing to do.
Or maybe the other way around, what if the limited video recording is software cap? that would mean that chefs at xda-devs. would get it fixed. Flashing cooked roms would of course void your warranty, and is not legal.
Between the two, its more likely that its the 2nd one that can be fixed. Although I wouldn't worry much of the video, I prefer to have all the frequencies. And I don't take that much video anyway.

No I don't think they have it in stock. The meaning of the "in stock" = "The product is in stock and is normally delivered within 2 - 5 working days."
They must be just fooling people to get more orders. They have the 5 days timeframe, and they are just hoping to get the stock fast enough to fulfill their promises. Just my 10 cents.

Yes, thats quite logical. THats whats being said on the other forums as well

Hehe, that's true. Most of my information is second hand, mostly from xda-developers.com.

xda-devs forum has the best expertise I have ever seen on any forum. A lot of people who know what they are talking about. They might be the reason why HTC is so big, they have really good user community.

Definatley, xda-dev is the only thing keeping me from getting the Omnia, but I might eventually get the Omnia as overall it seems a more multimedia oriented package

I am most likely going for Touch Pro, since the best experts on XDA are going for that also. If I would be just using the phone, the way it's meant to be used, I would go for Xperia. But customizing possibilities are the best with Touch Pro. My two previous phones were TYTN and TYTN II.

So it's pretty natural move. Also the qwerty keyboard is a must. The best part is that touch pro could actually come out in 1 weeks time!

@aksd

First the X1, then the Omnia, then the iPhone. Make up your mind
Which one is it going to be? You've waited this long, may as well get the X1.

@WhyBe
The iPhone is releasing at 32,000 INR for the 8GB and 38,000INR for the 16GB which is 730USD and 865USD respectively. Is'nt that a joke.
The Omnia cam is better and so is the Music, and it slimmer with TV-Out. Unless the X1 can match its price which is about 700USD for the 16GB version I doubt I'd buy it. And if I did decide to go HTC it would the the Pro over the X1

, easier to type keypad imo. Anyway I have till October to decide, lets wait and watch. I read somewhere that HTC's first android phone is releasing in Oct. So.............
@RakDoll
I'm on the TyTn II as well. I'm a bit fed up with the size though. And I dont use the hardware keypad to justify the extra width. The Diamond would have been perfect if it just had an SD card slot with TV-Out.

Well for the aussies out there. SE replied back and advised Q1 2009 so looks like thats another setback for SE if this is true.
But who knows they might suprise us all as they have released a few phones earlier than expected.
Klue - we're used to it by now. We're usually so far behind with tech....eg. TiVo....
