haha. yes it does ask for cc details because after the 60 day free trial it will AUTO RENEW unless you cancel it. that's how they all do things these days. nothing new. and it's expected.

did you have access to the free movies with your VPN? hmmm i may have to find a UK VPN to use...

@Geoffxx - so i found a free UK VPN to use. how did you get it to work? I am connected via VPN. I removed my SIM and only using my wifi. but i go to the playstore and i change the account to a google account i created while on UK VPN.. but it still doesnt' display xperia privilege for me...

tutorial please?

Xperia Z1 vs Lumia 1020 {Clear Zoom vs Lumia 1020 lossless zoom samples}

http://allaboutwindowsphone.c[....]as_PureView_copied_Lumia_1.php

Now after this comparison i just Dream What if SONY could use 1/1.5 inch sensor on Z1, what would happen to Lumia 1020 ??

Steve Litchfield knows his stuff. For my money, the 1020 is better in all but one photo (the yellow flower one). That said, the 1020 is very, very hard to compete against - it's an absolute beast of a camera phone.

I now have the Z1! I just want to tell you something. Im using lg camera app pro and when shooting pics in 18,7 mp res the images seem almost noise free without the white/black spleckles. The images arent perfect but a lot better than what ive seen before. Btw the app is really cheap, like two dollars or something.

Where Z1 is great as well and better than most of other smartphones.
1020 is not even close as a phone though...

BTW the guy places the Z1 over S4, in GSMArena it looks worse.
Sooo strange.

@doministry
dpreview already claimed in comparisons that Z1 is even better than Galaxy S4 Zoom,
@dalmac
Yes Lumia 1020 is better in those shots except 1
lets wait and see if Sony Sacrifices its slim portion and come up with 1/1.5 inch sensor,
then have to see what are the results

The answer is simple. It is a Windows phone blog. Its fans are more inclined to favor Nokia. Nokia and Samsung fans are hardly friends.

Considering the difference in sensor size b/w the 1020 and Z1, I would say that the 1020 is underperforming. I still think that the lack of a dedicated image processor on the 1020 makes a big difference.. that old snap chip in there is struggling.

Not only that, but from what I hear the Z1 is very fast to take photos, and overall camera experience, which can't b said about the 1020. Yes, it has to handle double the image data, but its still slow.. its slower than the 808.

in a short while I will post a link to my Flickr page in which I was able to put the Z1 head to head with the 1020, this is a very quick shoot out with both phones on manual mode with ISO set to auto. I only had a few mins with the 1020 and I used my own Z1.
