You replacing the TyTn II with the Pro?
No doubt about that. I already got rid of the TYTN II when the reselling price was still pretty high. So I have been waiting for one of these to take it's place pretty long time for now, I can't wait longer, since I'm using my GF's girly samsung shellphone right now. Touch Pro happened to come out first.. I will get it as soon as it lands Finland also.

Should be any day now. It looks promising.
I will still order it thru my operator most likely, so I have about one week to think about it, and cancel it if i cóme to conclusion it's not worh it. Waiting for people to report if there is any problems with the device, there always is!

Not knocking Android, but it's a total unknown and unproven. And anyways, any new device in the smartphone market is going to be put up to the iPhone litmus test, like it or not.
So my point is, Android better be damn good out-of-the-box.

so, what? I really don't understand this mass hysteria about Android like it was before iPhone launch too. there is a space for Android based phones, another player on market is welcome. however world isn't black and white - Android will not devastate mobile markets

Android is more of an iPhone and Symbian(more iPhone though) competitor. Most of the WM users will stick to WM imo. WM makes business oriented things just so easy when compared to any other platform.

The Touch Pro is now shipping, snapping up potential X1 customers as we speak -

Limited stock, but it's definitely out there.
Say what you like about HTC, but when they announce a product, they actually deliver it...

Hey Boinng,
You planning on jumping to the Pro? I've decided to skip the iPhone this time round, too expensive(as expensive as the Pro almost) and too may issues

I'm *still* conflicted about it really. I pretty much made my mind up to go with the Iphone, after playing with it some more - it really is a fantastic device, and I'm confident it's going to get better with ongoing updates etc, especially with the spotlight it's under - but I'm still going to miss some of those humdrum, boring, but oh-so-useful features...
The Pro looks like a good update to the Kaiser, but isn't going to give me the same buzz I don't think. It's more of the same, just better (hopefully at least).
I have until October to decide anyway. I'll be interested to read the hands-on reviews and user feedback on the Pro. If they're really positive (eg the old complaints about video and graphics on the kaiser are gone), and if Vodafone offer me a good deal on one once they get my cancellation letter, I might still go for the Pro - otherwise I'll be signing up with Apple (and keeping the Tytn II as a backup workhorse).
