@Mediar - i know i know... but as a long time loyal fan and customer, I CAN DREAM

Yeah, as a long time loyal Sony fan, that's the only thing you can and you will ever do. I liked SE too, but in the last year Sony really screwed the entire company and I had to move on. No more compromises. Now, as a HTC fan, I don't need to dream, because I already have everything. And it's done right.

Ouch. Sony, this is how and why you've lost your loyal customers. I guess none of Sony's top people are crazy fanboys like we are or they would've turned the company around long ago...

hehe...dark side...am i the only one that is happy with sony? i mean, i don't need to dream of anything because im actually happy using sony's products. i'll admit im a fanboy, but no more than apple fanboys (i will never buy apple). I buy sony because i like their products and they work for me. SE wasn't the best mobile company, they lost their way a while ago which is why i went with HTC for a bit but am back to Sony now that they own the whole thing. Their phones aren't the latest and greatest but they work and they look damn good. I'm waiting patiently for hayabusa to see if they are including the SE liquid logo or not, cos i told myself i wanted the last SE phone and the first all Sony phone...

Please guys don't blame Sony, You all know that Sony didn't that much of a control over the company when it was SE, in fact SE was independent and they took their own decisions most of the time, yeah I know Sony can give some of their technology to SE but not all of them as Sony has it's own standards which SE didn't meet...

Sony Ericsson had a tough time in it's last months as they know the problem they have that's why they had several re-organizing things including different CEO's...

Sony just took over SE and now it's Sony Mobile Communications... but there's already a lot of products that was in design and engineering progress and these products should be finished or all the R&D costs will be lost + they will miss the time without any products...

Now Sony Mobile Communications (SMC for short) have full control over the company, and they're already working on some Pure Sony vision... note that Sony it self did an re-organization lately duo to lower market shares duo to the first place of very strong competition in the CE market ( Korean manufacturers mostly, specially Samsung & LG )... they - Sony - came with a new concept and strategy the one important thing about it is to concentrate more on Mobile technologies and products.. this is a direct related to SMC the one that now own the good old SE... so they're working hard... but they just need time as products development needs some time.. just a sample Galaxy S3 has been in R&D since 2010 !! this does not mean that we wont see any Pure Sony products till 2014 ( two years from now ) as some products are done by design and concept but not by hardware... and I believe Sony did have some sort of control over the company ( over the R&D department and future devices ) several weeks/months before the announcement of the takeover... so we will see pure Sony devices starting from next year... in the mean while Sony is working hard to improve their relations with parts providers ( SoC, DRAM, screens, etc... ) in order to have a stronger base in the market... something like how HTC has strong relation with Qualcomm so they can get their SoC with a priority...

Give them some time...

my self I'm waiting for 2H products as my Xperia arc term will finish ( Sept. is the last month ) I'm still looking for what can I get after this... but I'm not looking for Xperia S or Xperia S2 ( what ever the higher clocked version will be )... I'm looking for more high-end something Xperia GX'ed or higher... but to be honest I'm also thinking about the next Nexus phones specially after Galaxy Nexus and it's one month wait for Jelly Bean !! but... I'm still waiting and didn't yet have anything for sure as nothing is known regarding Sony's next phones and Nexus Next...

Believe it when I see it. Seeing how Sony is unable to release a competitive tablet really says it all, thats all Sony and you cant blame SE for that. SE has practically been a full owned Sony company the last 6+ years. If they would release Xperia GX and SX internationally they would have awesome devices right now... I really cant understand them

Neither can I. This is where the fallout is. We can't understand them and they don't understand the consumers

Well, Sony I must admit is stupid when it comes to making high-end phones for years now but their mid-end and low-end offerings are very competitive if not the best. Correct me if I'm wrong but Sony is the only company with a dual-core for just $250!

Well the story of the Sony tablet is a bit messed up in itself. Supposedly in the Sony of old where each division was basically working on its own, there were 3-4 seperate Sony tablets being developed and each division had no idea that the other was making a tablet! It wasn't until Kaz stepped in and realized what was going on that a stop was put to all of that crap. They began focus on 2 tablets, the Tablet S and the Tablet P. From what I've heard, the Tablet P was really just an old concept they had kicking around for ages and they decided to just make a tablet out of it. The Tablet S isn't really that bad a tablet and has some unique features (I own one). The built in IR transmitter is extremely useful and Sonys universal remote software is amazingly good. I just wish they'd build this feature into their cell phones!

Anyways, all of that just tells me that the Sony of old was too divided to really put a true effort into the tablet market. If all of your divisons aren't talking or working together, how can you expect to put out a quality product? Now we have the One Sony under Kaz where all divisions are talking and working together. We know a new Tablet is due pretty soon and I'm very interested to see what they'll come up with. Info I've heard so far is that it has a magnesium-aluminum alloy shell, which is a HUGE step up IMO, and it'll have an HDMI out port, which I'm also excited about. Beyond that, we don't know much else I'm afraid
