No my friend the worst part is that it's only available in India my friend. I was going to direct my buddy to these auctions so he could get one for himself. But not anymore my friend. Thank you come again!

Yes - the P990 is down for an August release according to their customer service, nothing more specific at this time though.

Do not expect the P990 to roll out to general retail until about November. Keith Germann was just on MSNBC and mentioned that he hears at Sony Ericsson that a few phone models especially new smartphones would be delayed due to housing problems and internal restructuring

if they can roll them out like with they did with the k800 ,i generally cant see the reason why they cant do the same to the p990 especially given the ample time they have had to sort it out

I just called Sony Ericsson and they said that the P990 will be released in the UK first, around October. I'm not sure how accurate that is as the guy was reading information from his computer but hopefully thats not the case.

Motorola had HUGE housing issues with the V600; a much lesser phone in every sense of the word and it was resolved by fulfillling manufacturers warranty and eventually in 1yr killing the product with a better designed model the V635i. I know totally 2 different phones but the principle is the same and related. by now, this P990i should ship in Silver, White, Black AND Maria Sharipova PINK already! If the P990i is this bad a product to perfect - no product is perfect - then kill the project and do a slight redesign based off the same netowrk, communications hardware, software/firmware, & dimensions, and improve the CPU! This way you recover R&D costs/investment, while not rendering a production plant useless.

I agree with you. Im getting antsy with the release of this phone so I called up Sony Ericsson to get a definite answer. They told me that it will be released first in the UK and looks to have a fall release. I asked when in the fall and he said that most likely the phone will be released in October.
He said that he has been getting a ton of calls regarding the P990 but they dont have much information on it except that its due out in the fall.
This sucks.
