@Tush, I am also using 6630 and its working perfect see my last few post. I am telling you simple way, Install PC Suite and connect to internet there in setteing write APN or acccess point (airtelfun.com) without bracket. now connect. In browser set proxy setting to 100.1.200.99 and port 8080.

@everyone, Gtel are really idiot, they said free SMS will not work on 25th dec, 1st Jan. How then SMS. I have Rs. 150 free SMS balance. They just planed out to make money one this largest SMS turnover day which will generate more revenues.

@manoj from where u got the information that free sms is not FREE on 25dec and 1jan. I havnt got any information like that from Airtel. I hav currently COLLEGE PLAN in which 100local sms r free daily. Will this thing be applicable to this plan also.

today i also received msg from hutch that sms will be charged on national and public holidays..

this is their trick to have good amount of money on these days:)

@Fun, Dear I got SMS from Customer care the SMS read following "Your free SMS will not work Christmas (25 dec), New year (31 dec and 1st Jan), Republic Day (26th Jan), Valentine's Day (14th Feb) and Independence day (15th August)". They just finalised the plan to generate high revenue on this high SMS revenue generator day for the Service provider.

Talk your CC for more details. I am from Calcutta.

I did all the settings as u said....
it got connected.
using opera, it sends and receives data but the msg opera gives is
"YOUR NETWORK SETTINGS DO NOT ALLOW YOU REQUEST THIS URL"

My handset is NOKIA 6670 & bluetooth BLUESOLEIL
dialing no.==> *99***1#
port # 100.1.200.99
proxy # 8080

if i use dialing no. *99***2#

it gives error msg at dialing dialogue box.....
ERROR 777: THE CONNECTION ATTEMPT FAILED BECAUSE THE MODEM (OR OTHER CONNECTING DEVICE ) ON THE REMOTE COMPUTER IS OUT OF ORDER.

Using internet explorer it only sends the data.
