Even under quarterly losses, I remember X10 announcement last year had a cutting-edge hardware (read: cpu and megapixels, although not software) and it sell quite well, especially in Japan...
Now if they don't want to made a same mistakes (now they dont had quarterly losses!), I think it's logical if they improved it (read: cpu, megapixels and software)
If they decided to change this strategy and only plays a midrange in next year, then I'm dissappointed with SE...

If SE come up with this phone why would i even think of changing my X10 for the X12 or whatever it is called? I mean, for just .3 inches and a slightly better proccy? Are u kidding me?

There is always a Flagship phone guys and Eldar told SE will launch android Vivaz/Pro
Mini/pro with better specs.. So this comes under mid range..
There is PSphone also..

God damn Im so disappointed!! Well hope still lives I guess.. The best proof we got of a really high end device is the interviews with Bert on Di.se when he said its all about the clock speeds and latest software. He also said SE aims to have the most advanced smartphone on the market next year. I mean he must know what he is talking about right?

1. Multitouch, I use PSX4Droid a lot (SE had received many critics about this, very big mistakes if they don't include it)
2. Amoled, as you can see in leaked X12 pics (truly black screen, not ashes like ordinary TFT)
3. If it has 1080p (as stated in xperiax10.net), then it must have:
a. dual core cpu (my X10 also still had laggy animation sometimes, not reaching 60fps like iPhone)
b. 8mp or 16mp back-illuminated Exmor-R sensor, as it's only two Sony's module that support 1080p (unless they decided to use Samsung module in their flagship). Their sample images is amazing, beats down X10 pics and competing directly with Nokia N8 pics...
And I remember Sony announces their 12MP modules some years ago, only to be used in Satio three months later... Maybe 8 or 16MP backside-illuminated Exmor-R sensor will be used soon by SE... Seeing it had been announced one month ago... If not, then I'm dissappointed
4. latest android. JIT in 2.2 is a huge improvement (2x-5x processing power)...
5. HDMI. I always want to try this on my Samsung TV
6. 512mb ram or more... I always think it needs a little more RAM
7. 3x lower battery consumption as claimed in OMAP4 over previous-gen OMAP...

@HIRON-The least that SE could have done was upgrade the camera which IMO was a major selling factor in the X10 coz it had more MPs than the current crop in the market. I am so dissapointed. I wanted to change my X10 and now i dunno what to get, coz the X12 isnt a quarter above my x10 in any regard. Its more like the Desire guys wont move for a desire HD and that isnt even HTCs flagship.
