Esato was founded in the year 2001 and was mainly targeted at Sony Ericsson mobile phone users. We started with a couple of services offering free ringtones, grayscale logos for the Ericsson T39 and R520 models. We have expanded the service to include free color backgrounds for over 50 mobile phone models. Other popular services are the discussion forum for anyone interested in topics about mobile phones and accessories. Even if the focus was targeted at Sony Ericsson owners, we now have separate forums for owners of other brands. The most popular sections are the News, Blog, discussion forum, Free themes, free color backgrounds and a service where users can upload images from a PC and download a converted image down to their mobile phone.

It all depends when the Z5 will come to market, if mid to late September is when it will hit stores, then I doubt the SD820 will come along for the ride, more realistically will be the SD810, with 4 GB of ram and QHD screen. Hopefully the new IMX230 will be along for the ride as well.

820 this year is HIGHLY unlikely...most phones including Z5 is very likely to use 810. Just the way it is.

Also bad news for the 820? Current rumour from Leaker @Ricciolo1, is that the 820 also has heat problems.
"SD810 and his successor are NOT so different in terms of HEAT ISSUES..you have to WAIT for the 830 (P. Q3-16).to "partially" solve this.. "

@randomuser
If what your source say is true then we can definitely forget about s820 in 2015. no doubt about it. but then if s820 also heats like s810 then it doesn't really matter. can you find out some info about the design and share with us? a new one or another evolution of ob? etc.

maybe the ultra version will be less prone for heating issues because of dimensions (?)
anyway, even if not, in the end it is not all about chipset and there are many features that sony can improve and add new once that can make all 3 devices a great buy, unlike z3+ with the same camera sensor, weaker battery, etc. i don't know about you guys but i am still very excited for the upcoming announcements.

been saying that since the beginning, Sony should have release a Z4 Ultra in H1 rather than the Z4/Z3+. Large size of the Ultra will help combat the heat, my Z ultra already shows less performance throttling than my Z1. Marketing wise it also won't have to go head to head against HTC, Samsung and everyone else for new standard size flagship. They need to alternate their flagship have phablet in H1 and standard size and compact in H2 so they won't go head to head with all others android venders. This way they can also wait for the possible more refined S810 for H2.

Doesn't really matter in regard to chipset because there is no news of upcoming refined s810 other then v2.1 that z3+ has.
what you wrote makes sense but imo the opposite does as much. i do not see why they should not go head to head with rivals as it gives their devices a lot more exposure in media comparisons and consumers an option to choose sony especially new consumers as for example, they originally thought of buying the new note or iphone plus, etc. but now they have a new option to consider that is as good.
in the end, imo they need to treat the problem not the symptom... regardless of what rivals offer. they need to properly market their devices in all forms of media, make them available faster and in all carriers/stores. relying on sony brand nostalgia does not seem enough these days. and i'll add, not to make stupid ideas like those shatter films...

SD808 is pretty hot as well. It's practically a hot as 810. Why? For example in the HTC M9 two A57 cores are basically disabled - they're activated for a few seconds during benchmarks. In regular use SD810 works basically as a hexa-core processor, in short - SD808 with better GPU. And still gets pretty hot. SD808 in the LG G4 isn't cool either and it's a massive device with quite a lot of space to dissipate heat.

Spec race pressure .. everyone thinks that specs and benchmarks sell phones despite the fact that Apple keeps proving that theory wrong over and over again.

Google made heavy software that needed lots of processing power to work properly, Samsung had the scale to respond to that demand in the most effective way so they got ahead and everybody else followed suit.

The problem is... that was 4-5 years ago.. that strategy does not apply anymore because the hardware far surpasses the needs/capabilities of the software. Snap 810 is rushed, and its a huge overkill..
