The factory in Thailand is just for cellphones or other stuff too?
I know they have stuff made in China, this USA/China story may increase prices. I think not only for Americans.

Awwe, Canada is a non-focus or de-focused region
I'll still buy either from the US or UK thought

I dont understand this:
If you get help from Bravia team to provide best calibration the screen is able to offer, why not doing the same for midranges? All reviews complained that they are kinda cold.
For example Honor 20 Pro has LCD. The iPhone Arena measured temperature 6592k, delta RGBCMY 0.91 and delta grayscale 2.02. Almost same values of Xs Max that has expensive oled.
Wish Sony cared more about midranges. They never have SteadyShot on pair with flagships.

Why? Mid-range should be mid-range. If mid-range can gets most of the feature in flagship. Then will people still going to buy a flagship? Remember, mid-range are priced about half of the premium but the manufacturing cost maybe just 30% lower.
Honor share the same hardware parts with Huawei. Also, I don't trust those media review device. Most of them are cherry picked. Just like Sony, they can keep revising the hardware liking using cheaper parts, lower the binning.
Actually, they had already said that years ago: flagship will be the main focus. They will try to focus on making most of the money per device rather than selling many phone.

Except waterproofing and battery, X and X Perf were same. This did not keep X Perf from selling more than X.
M5 + front stereo speaker + triluminos + snapdragon - bigger selfie cam = Z4
All companies sell more midranges than flagships ( those that make both)
They are already saving money in other areas.
1 is full glass with Gorilla 6, midrange get gorilla 5.
1 has bigger battery than 10/10+.
1 has more cameras and OIS.
1 has 4K, oled and all Bravia goodies, midranges dont.
1 has stereo and IP68, midranges do not.
And many software features....
For example, you open cam app of XZ (android oreo) and XA2 you will find same things (except XZ uses 8Mp as base).
Why not giving XA2 the SS as good as given to XZ since they even share same cam hardware?
XA2 has better photo quality, but way worse video skills.
Honor use cheaper stuff compare to P and Mate series. But I doubt they have access to better LCD than Sony to achieve this results.
After 3 years I still dont know the best values for RGB control. By default Xperia comes 0-0-0 . Samsung for example sets 255-255-255
Better calibration for midranges is not gonna bleed their pockets. Tools are there already.
Seems lazy to me...
Help: can someone watch this and tell if he used 1 to record the video? He walks but footage seems to be shake free. I have never seen this level of stabilization. Not even from Sony A9 or Panny GH5s ..
