Muhammad Oli and frankthetank are the ones we need be most concerned about. Both are from Christchurch but M-O has been up here in Auckland studying. His family is still down there.

Auckland is in the North Island about 1200kms away from the devastation of Christchurch in the South Island.

I want to hope and wish they are ok. My sister in law is from Wellington and is flying out there tomorrow to see her mom who has cancer. Luckily she is in Wellington.

Hey guys sorry I didn't check in.

I am in Auckland and so well away from the devastation. My family are fine, though a family friend from our church is now a double amputee. He has been on the news a fair bit, he was the investment banker trapped in the PGG building.

I have to say when I first heard the news I was pretty upset. I was there for the quake back in September last year and so to hear that the damage was worse this time was gut wrenching. Seeing it on TV is horrible. That is my home town and I don't know the future of it. I never thought I cared so much about the place until this happened.
