i prefer the CF card form (compact flash) because it fits on PDAs with type I slots (almost all) and with an adapter CF-PCMCIA it will fit in your notebook's PCMCIA slot, hell i can even use it on my desktop because my desktop has two PCMCIA slots.
summary:
a) CF form factor pwede sa PDA, notebook, desktop (with PCMCIA slots)
b) PC Card form factor di pwede sa PDA (unless bili ka ng PCMCIA sleeve which limits you to iPAQ models), pwede sa notebook, desktop (with PCMCIA slots)
c) USB di pwede sa PDA (Casio pa lang ang may USB host at walang driver), pwede sa notebook (kung may USB) at desktop (kung may USB)
so it's your choice. i hope di kita nalito lalo

I was thinking of getting the iPaq witht the phone kit pack several times but I figured it wasn't practical as I'm more often than not at the office with my laptop and two other PCs right in front of me. Although I do use my desktop at home (I ususally bring home my laptop and prefer using that), I wanted a BT that will work for both computers. My desktop doesn't have a PC card slot, so naturally I got the USB version.
I was just curious if there are any major differences between the two types, speed or what have you ...

@ksroy, difference between manufacturers yes. i used to have a spreadsheet containing features of Anycom, 3Com, Socket and TDK before i decided to get Anycom, unfortunately i deleted the file after the purchase. some manufacturers implementation is below 1mbps, i.e., 700kbps only. but if you're going to use the BT device for the T68, it does not matter because the T68m/i can only communicate via BT at approximately 100kbps (108,800 bps) with one timeslot.

Why didn't you get the Socket Communications version... the one that is similar to the Nokia CF BT card na walang antenna?
It's supposed to be the same price and better drivers.
BTW, te Nokia CF BT card is selling here for about Php 9,900 and it uses the Socket Communications BT drivers for the Pocket PC. Konting hack lang sa registry kasi iba yung device name ng card... change lang from socketcommunications...blah blah blah to nokia_mobile_phones-dtl-1-07cf gagana na.

@GOwin, the T68m/i is using the IrMC 1.1 standard for *both* infrared and cable.

How many of you here are using mPhone v2.1.1 already.
For those who are still using Simple SMS, or IA Phone manager or BVRP Wiphone Pocket for the Pocket PC, maybe you would like to try the latest release of mobem's mPhone Pocket Pro version 2.1.1
It has better communication with the T68 via BT and it also automatically sends you a message alert on your Pocket PC whenever you have a new text message. This way, you don't miss messages even if your phone is in your bag, pocket or purse... or somewhere else.
