it does that with mine too sometimes.
its usually because i walk in and out of range with the victim and my phone gets confused. if you can see your target just keep up with them and it should connect. i think

Been new to this whole Bluejacking phenomenon...did it twice last week, once on a Nokia and the other I suspect a Motorola because all I could see was "phone" when I tried to detect other devices in my vicinity.

Hi everyone, new to the site and these forums. There really are some superb stories here!! One of my most memorable bluejacks was in a pub waiting for my girlfriend, i was looking around and saw a few other guys sitting by themselves, this got me thinking, are they waiting for there girlfriends?? so i proceeded to write a message as if it were my girlfriend txting me saying " running a bit late, can u meet me at.......". I then ran a search and found 5 of the poor soles! i sent this message to all. My luck was in! 2 of these guys looked at there fones, got up and left!! result. They must have both walked to the same place and waited for there girlfriends to arrive. God bless BT

I am sat in work at the moment and felt the urge to Bluejack someone so done the usual search and found a phone called "Chris' Mobile".
Now, there is a Chris in my office so I Bluejacked him with "You filthy animal ya" but nothing happened. So I sent it again three times and then realised I was bluejacking some poor innocent bloke sat behind me who I have never seen before.
The look on his face was a prize. I then sent him, "Nice Jumper", and "Guess Who". He then stood up and walked out with a growl on his face.
Do you think I should own up now or should I carry on tormenting him? I haven't laughed so much.

The official way is to pair your device with another, but I remember there being a security scare in the news about file systems adding accessible on certain phones. Are you planning a raid?

@davo: sometimes in the trains, some devices kept on showing up, which means the person should be in the same train as me.
but most of the time, it takes hell long to connect. and it tells me failed to connect in the end..
