Hmmm had my first total shutdown today. Blinking blue light (sometimes) but no response whatsoever on power on button. At first the reset button appeared to do absolute nothing, but it just restarted. Everything appeares to be ok.
Gave my a little scare though

phonearena is doing a blind test. can someone help me identify which is the z1? i suspect phone 2 is the z1 and phone 5 is L1020. phone 6 is definitely htc one.

stupid handtec. first they showed SW2 in stock. Then they told me via live chat it was shipping this week. Now their website is back to "SOON - Preorder".
interesting blind test.. personally, i think it's between 1 and 2. but everyone seems to be voting #5? 1 and 2 get much more detail. 2's kitchen photo just seems to be the unfortunate result of camera shake.

Sony Mobile responded to my question about honoring warranty of an imported Z1 here in the US.
They said that they would repair the phone under warranty, but there would be a delay of 8 weeks if it has not launched in the US. I'm asking clarifying questions because I'm not sure if he means if the Z1 is officially launched in the US or if I bought it in the US.
You all know how vague and pointless customer service answers are. It's like pulling teeth to get the answers you're looking for!
But, it's good to know they will honor the warranty.

@moogoo May you provide the exact text if it was an email? What you're saying is a bit confusing. Also, SONY use to honor warranty for their products(at least phone) in the grey market. I was able to send in my K800i for warranty, free of charge. They were even willing to provide a box, shipping label, and a pick up! This is why I love SONY!

Nway, Some say the fact that XZ1 thicker than XZ is a turn off. I can barely tell which one is thinner side by side with my wife's XZ

Regarding warranty on the UK Z1: We can provide repairs for imported phones but there will be a delay of up to 8 weeks if the phone has not launched in the US.
as i said, I replied to ask if that means there will be no significant delay once it launches in the coming weeks.
we'll see how long they take to answer me ha.

@moogoo You should confirm if it's "warranty" repair that is free of charge if there's a fault in the product versus a typical repair where they will have to charge you. You should also ask them about the Xperia Privilege app situation for the heck of it,
