you could just use a soup bowl to get the same effect.
When I am in my spare car that the stereo doesn't work in I put the K750i in speedo cowel in my dashboard and i works like the speaker cradle.

the cradle may or may not be useless but it shure is a nice design i may say. donīt know if these two products are original se i can only hope so.
