iRiver has a solid state player with a color screen in 2GB, 4GB and announced in 8GB. Its called the U10 and its only available in Korea at the moment, but should be elsewhere soon. Its a bit larger than the Apple Nano, but Jools didn't ask if anyone had one the same size.

Also, the screen on the U10 is much bigger, infact its the whole front of the player and it comes with a stand and IR remote.

If you ask me the Nano takes care of the shuffle and mini. The shuffle was nearly worthless without a screen anyway. I also wonder why Apple took the name of a Creative player for their new iPod? I mean about a month ago Creative launched the Nano, this is bound to cause confusion.

the remote and stand are accessories that dont come with it.

It's so awesome. I love the way that you tilt the WHOLE screen to move left right up or down.

I'd want one but it's not as sexy as the NANO and it must end up looking ugly with all the fingerprints on the screen.

The Rokr didn't impress me that much, is basically a white E398. And probably the sound is just 'standard'. In that case I think the W800 is a better choice. And also, I couldn't find any info on its camera... does it have one??

Now, the NANO... WOW!! That is sexy!!! I'd like to get me one of those... but 4gb I'm afraid is not that much, anyway is really pretty! he he he.

I am very dissappointed with the itunes mobile phone was hopinh for something alot better than that, maybe an ipod style phone.

The ipod nano that is gorgeous, shame i have a 4th generation 20gb, if i hadnt bought loads of accessories for it i would sell it and snap one up.

Would love to see some pictures if anyone buys one.

Well the big thing with the Rokr phone is that is works with iTunes of course. Which means easy synchronising of your music through the iTunes software which is widely used and considered as very good/user friendly. And you can play the songs you buy on the iTunes store. For me the advantages of that are crystal clear. And the phone has decent other specs.

Sadly enough the rivalry between Apple and Sony will make it virtually impossible to let SE team up with Apple to put the iTunes software on a SE phone. I'm afraid that will hurt SE sales in this part of the market after a while.

@miss copperfield: The iPod nano has the same connector as previous iPods so most (if not all) accessories will work with it.

Hmmm

If everything i have would be compatible i am very tempted, do you think everything will work,

italk
airclick
itrip
remote

I suppose i could buy new ones, definately worth considering, i have always like the mini ipods and hoped something like the standard ipod would be released.

Well done apple!!!

I think why the ROKR can only take 100 songs is because tflash( should be later known as microSD) can only go up to 512 MB at the moment. So obviousely a W800 would win since you have the option to get an even bigger MSD. Was there anything about the/a supplied headset.
