just upgraded for 10 min ago.. works fine here in sweden... whats new in this version?

Updated in UK no problem once I worked out you had to hold down the c button when reconnecting the phone. Make sure you have the relevant drivers installed from the SE site

Here is a stupid question. I know when i update my k750, it puts the firmware files in this directory

C:\Program Files\Sony Ericsson\Update Service\software-data

What would happen if i replace the ones it downloads with the w800's and rename it as needed for it to think it was the k750s? Can/will it know? hehe..

Ok, i'll go back to dreaming........

What network you on? i just tried it and it still says no operator error message (on o2)

WHYY ????? its not even branded i dont have a freaking operator



your case has nothing to do with branding or operator.

it has to do with the fact that although particular firmware is made it has not been distributed to the servers for that particular cda/langpack combination.

so all posters with simmilar posts should include cda and languages they have in their posts so we have some picture as to what is available and what is not (yet, but will be soon).
same as with k750 it took 2-3 days till all generic cda's were able to update.
