Whilst the MMR-60 more compact and better looking, the 3.5mm adapter + Belkin tunecast would probably be a good way around it, and it's more universal as you can use the tunecast with any portable music player... though I'm sure this dedicated FM broadcaster would still be popular!

I'll be getting an mmr-60 due to the space and cable saving aspect. I curently use a belkin/hpm-70 combo.

I would like to think that they fear is around terror.

FM Transmeters are also used in triggering explosive.

I think thats the main reason.

But then, with a 10m range what would be the point, you might aswel stand there and press the button on the bomb - you're hardly detonating it remotely if you're only 10m away !

unless you were just a geeky suicide bomber and liked making simple things more interesting

Actually the ban on transmitters is to do with possible interference with other devices and communications, nothing to do with terrorism.

Either way, i intend to buy a mmr-60 if the price is right and i can get one imported if they arent sold in the UK.

If not, i'll go for the Belkin option. I just bought a new car, and the stereo that came in it is pretty poor (doesnt play mp3 files stored on CD), so being able to send my mp3 files via FM to the car stereo would be perfect, rather than having to buy a different stereo and replacement dash unit (since the supplied one is built in).
