Well I did a master reset yesterday, after I did a serious backup. The speaker problem is probably solved. I'm not sure of the IR problem but I'll let you know soon.....

Ive got the same prob aswell - built in IR port on my PC - just upgraded from win 95 to 98 - PC will only detect handset when I sync it via IR in the connect menu - then after 2 seconds it will say no devices in range after sync stops - IR is on - have phone monitor software - tried to install it again etc etc - its starting to piss me off - any help will be less stressful as my machine will not communicate.
