yeah i get the same shutdown thing. i think it's intended (i.e. not a bug)
i've tried updating twice now. both times it "updates" but i still get the same R1N035 firmware.

i have also unistalled SE and reinstalled the Update Software.
I have managed to update 2 x K700i On orange, 1 x K300i on Orange and 1 x T610 on Vodafone and to the latest versions.
Just where is the Orange k750i ??

Still no joy. I got bored of waiting for orange so today i decided o try using Davinci; only problem is i paid my money, got an email from Paypal confirmng payment but nothing from Davinci gving me a username and password. Tried emailing and ICQ but can't get a response. Damn annoying!

Maybe Orange keeping us waiting is a good thing. They might not be happy with the faults in the firmware, and so are not making it available to us. I am going to think this way, because it makes me feel valued... heh.

have noticed any difference in your phone now.as i did the same thing.
one thing i did notice is how much louder the ringtones and sms tones are now..
