Echelon = A formation of troops in which each unit is positioned successively to the left or right of the rear unit to form an oblique or steplike line.

A flight formation or arrangement of craft in this manner.

A similar formation of groups, units, or individuals.

With such an advanced system, they should be able to smash drug dealers, paedophile rings, date rapists, anyone who uses the phone or internet for any illegal purpose...but they don't. Which begs the quesion...what are they using it for? Sky Movies?

All I can say, is tip of the iceberg.

You really have no idea the scale of what goes on, believe me, thats what you know about, or can see.

As for the UK having US listening posts, they have alot more besides, You'll have heard of the USAF base at Diego Garcia, well it a UK territory, and the UK government evicted 100's of the indiginious peoples, and left them to die on a ship left to drift, so they could let the US use the island. When some of the locals tried to return to what is their home, the US guards shot them dead, for....trespass.

People think the US is bad for spying on it's own, but the UK population is widely acknowledged as the most spied on population in the world, by their own government. In the UK the average person is photographed, videoed, or electronically watched around 300 times a day, on the basis that you are asleep say 7 hours a day, and going on the basis your out and about the rest, your watched thats 18 times an hour, or once every 3 minutes!!!

There's a CCTV camera for every 16 people in the UK.

Thats called being watched!
