Ha ha, nope. I only use non S60 phones. I haven't got a clue what is going on. I got this cell for my 13th birthday. What does S60 mean/do anyway? Remember I am from Africa. Greetings from South Africa. Mario ;-) This message was posted from a Nokia 7650

@mario2002: The fact that you're from Africa is no excuse for using that outdated brick when we've had the N90 available for months now...I think there's some kind of sentimental attachment, the same one some people on here seem to have with Ericsson\\\\\\ phones

raduth,

How can that low resolution brick compare to a P990? I'm really asking here, not just being critical. And ... it runs on ... Windows??

Yes, it has low resolution, and it has WM 2005 (wich for us, SE funs is unacceptable) but it has also GPS (wich is very usefull for many people) and many bussines people are used with WM (remember al previous HP, etc)
I am also a fun off UIQ Platform (I use to have since october 2003 since now SE P800, SE P900, SE P900 with P910 soft, SE P910 and Mot A1000), but the competition is getting harder for SE on that segment

And, Mario, stop being a silly old boy and be serious here for a minute!

The 7650 was/is a great phone, and the way Series 60 has transformed Nokia is quite an achievement for a single platform. I remember when people around me first started using the 7650's they were overwhelmed by all the complexity. And I thought my T68i was complex, with email, BT modem, etc.

That was, what, three years ago? After dozens of Series 60 mobiles, the interface hasn't really changed that much until now, with Symbian 9. Nokia, an empire, can afford to do just that: take out a feature here, add one there, put an "i" here, change a number there, and voila: we have six models that just don't fit all people's needs!

As for the Pxxx, this is really the thing that keeps SE in the business, even if they're not always the top seller models.

With one small 'rectification' it is fairly correct/well said indeed :-) Symbian is not a 'interface' but a whole OS. Actually the interface (the part the user sees) is S60 :-) Greetings from South Africa. Mario This message was posted from a Nokia 7650

Come on, Mario! You know I know about the S60 interface bit.
My point was that Symbian, in general, is known by its interface. In Nokia's case, it's mainly S60; in SE's it's the P-series. Yes, there's S80 and S90, but those are different. Besides, their 3G versions (with an "i" here and a 10 added to the number) are still to come.

Good luck tomorrow.
