@ batsi - this is where me and you would disagree battery life for me is nice, but not essential, idealy id like about 2hours of non stop video etc, but that will come intime I suppose, but I see where your coming from, personally bringing a charger/usb cable with me is pretty easy

i like ipods apart from the two things that have always stopped me from buying on. 1) you can only use one library of music. 2) the non-removable battery.
