just bought 1 gb from sony - what free space do you got in there, just after format from control panel and with standard Media Files folder structure (empty)? i`ve got 946MB - is this right?

@prart That is about right mate. The rest is used up by the card itself to operate......if that makes sense?

brothers i have problems with 2 gb memory card . i have tried changing file sysytems i have also tried on different 2 gb memory cards... but when i play from 2 gb memory card . the song skips and sometimes differnt song is played from different file....
i am in huge trouble...................
plz help me brothers
