@miss uk mmmm it's easy to blame SE coz YOU don't make the phones obviously. you might not have any idea how hard it is and how much time it takes, also keep in mind the marketing part. and as I said before, over saturated phones stand out but if the pricing isn't affordable, not many people will buy and that's not good for company, only if they want to show of.

I believe sony ericsson makes great phones even if there are greater out there, they will still be great.

Morning oh what I didn't mean to start a bitching frenzy over SE, MOTO nor Samsung, all I said was SE seem slow to release phones, I made a point to tell you all this that there are 3.2mp phones out on the market yet however the P990 has been delayed again, when it does make a show up, it will have a rubbish camera and yet other phones will have better ones....

thats what I was saying.. don't flame grill me for saying I don't like the K750i but I don't like the design of it one bit sorry... camera quality is superb yeah but when it comes to elegance the D600 just has the temptation for class all the way, you lot may also say the D600 is a pile of crap, yet I diasgree.. it takes great pics ifyou know how to use it properly..

I bet a born breed photographer would agree to if it was the only phone in emergency he/she had on them at the time

@ Luke. have SE sorted out the Memory card probs yet... by this I mean dya have to buy tweezers just to get the darn tings out?

my P910 pisses me off for that...

While with my D600 it has a spring you press it down and up the Transflash card comes

lol I find one thing funny with what you say there, the memory cards are not that hard to get out, and I think its also worth mentioning that samsung use a transflash card (i think) which is alot smaller and fiddely when inserting, and se to have the push in and it pops out (atleast on my 5 - 10 p910i's ive had and the 20 + w800i's and k750is) so I don't think we should get into that one...

Now regarding samsung being a pile of shite we all know thats not true, the d500 and d600 phones are very high quality in both design and features, thoguh the d500 was limited with no upgradable memory.

Some phones do take a long time to come out yes, but as I think weve established, this is to make them more affordable, and check theres a gap in the market.

also I believe that the w800i/k750i are very comparable even in your d600 rocks thread the pictures were very good on both phones and it is hard to compare like all camera.

also i think the p990i will have a very similar image quality of that the d600 and k750i/w800i, but one thing to renember, its supposed to be a business phone, not all business users are goign to want a 5 mpx camera on it.

Are all the other SE phones like the P910i then with the mem card?
btw I cannot get mine out w/o tweezers... the D600 takes Transflash, smaller but the they come out easy you press it down it comes up it'self

Ps why on earth have you had 20+ K750's / W800's? lmao can you sopare me 1

then i could really do the big test on the pair of phones

The p910i Mem card does pop out when you press it in! And yup those lil transflash cards are TINY! Really impressive, here's mine:

All sony ericsson have to do is to release phones earlier... that's all, there are no other real problems apart from that and design in my opinion, and of course i'm entitled to it.

Sure they may delay it as they want to fix bugs etc... But I don't really want to hear about that, as a consumer I just want a phone, and i'm hardly gonna wait, i'm going to go get distracted by another more shiny model than my current SE. And fixing problems shouldn't REALLY be an excuse, all they have to do is start development a lot earlier.

Sure they'll continue to do well, and i'm sure the p990i will be a great (slightly dated) phone or whatever when released, but it won't be for me, i've realised a phone is just that, a phone, no need to be anymore, if anyone reallllly needed the features it has than they'd by a proper pda, or a half decent camera etc.

Any way, i'm not even sure what point i'm trying to make here so i'll leave it there for now as i'm hungry... *Wanders off in search of food*....

I find it strange how people are saying that when a new phone comes out the existing SE 2.0 megapixel cameras will be rubbish!

In all our tests, the K750 and now the W900 come out on top for colour accuracy, focus and general sharpness and clarity. That even includes the 3.2 megapixel Sharp 903.! When you add the Xenon flash, the photos indoors are just as stunning (in fact, the only thing you lose is a true optical zoom). The worst camera, by a long way, was the Motorola V3x - and I am shocked that a rival magazine recently voted it the top cameraphone (bearing in mind the images are compressed even in HIGH quality mode to about 200KB when a decent 2 megapixel image on any other phone is 400-700KB!).

And, considering the W900 takes photos that print very well on 6x4 inch paper and look good on screen, I fail to understand how it will be rubbish even when other phones arrive with much higher resolution sensors.

Panasonic once told me that the biggest problem with introducing an optical zoom is the fact that people generally take great care of their cameras, but they treat their phones like s**t. Optical zooms don't like being knocked about.

I am impressed with the stuff that I've seen when I've been to South Korea, but I do wonder how reliable a camera with zoom (and a phone thrown in) will work in the long run. Samsung had their 5 megapixel version out a long time ago, so you must wonder why they have chosen not to produce a GSM or UMTS version for Europe.

Certainly not many people have them in Korea at the moment.. so it's probably more a 'proof of concept' like the many Nokia products we keep seeing but never really go on sale.

@ Kk. lol all this time ive been getting tweezers to pluck my Duo out
and ive just tried it and your bloody rite I feel like a ninny

I have a 256 Transflash, enuff room for a album, cos my D600 has internal room which is pretty good so far ive stuck 12 MP3's on it and theres still more room for more

@ Its like this tho, when you compare a Digital camera say a 3.2MP one with the newer 8MP how slighty different is the quality?

It's also the same with the 2.0MP phones, there good atm but can quality get better? I so would love to see this
