Does this mean the K600 will be no more? To think that a couple of weeks ago I almost bought a K600 but sanity prevailed and I let it pass.

With a thickness of 17 mm it will fit well in my pocket

Hehe! I know someone who bought a K700 thinking he had got the latest in camera phones, but the K750 had just come out! Poor dude.
The K600 may continue as a cheaper 3G option, but the K610 should take the K600's current price slot. But anyone's guess is as good as mine.

It would explain why the V600i is now down to £90 from vodafone. I reckon voda will be branding the K610 for themselves soon.

Well the K600 was announced this time last year was it not? Which means its price will begin to come down soon. With the K610 being so slim, I was sure it would be a fashion phone like the SLVR but not so.

You seem to be right here. The updated product page at SE does not mention AF and also, Rog at MR, who has put up preview pictures of K610 has confirmed it has no AF and no Flash (that's probably why its so thin).

No auto-focus for K610 though... That's a pity. Sp the camera probably won't be as good as we've become used to.
Many Nokias and most of the other manufacturers camera phones dont have AF, but are selling well, maybe this is a way for

to compete with them on same terms function/cost/sell -wise.
I think this is the same reason why

don't have camera lense cover in many of their new handesets. Most of the competitors handsets don't have lense covers...

Where does this leave the K750? If this phone which has a lower designation has better features.
Right now it's a toss up between the small compact K610i and the W900i...decisions, decisions, decisions
This leaves the K750 at the same spot where it is today. The K610 is a 3G phone and a upgrade of the K600, not the K750.
K750 remains

top camera phone for the moment and still is the best there is out there (outside japan).
The K750 successor will probably have lense cover since it will be a "photo phone"
Just my thoughts
