I never owned a dreamcast but i heard it was very good. It had a good homebrew scene and was the first console you could take online.
The memory cards looked really good, they had small screen which you could use to play mini games on.
Overall i think it was a good console but was let down by advertising which hindered its take off.

Well i read on IGN that the revolution will be created as an affordable games console and rather then trying to create the console so its games look very realistic they are trying to create a console that offers the user better gameplay.

i don't really like to compare nintendo with sony and microsoft consoles, since although there are the odd few games that come out on all consoles, i think that nintendo generally offer a unique and different style, perhaps more fun and comic type of gaming which i think is great. they've certainly made history with their games and famous characters. to be honest i wouldn't want nintendo to get too involved in playstation and xbox style gaming, otherwise they may start to leave what nintendo and its famous gaming is all about, and i don't think they will, of course they may compete in terms of sales and marketing, but really its different, i think someone from nintendo annonced that i wouldn't be involved so much in the console 'war' as such.

Just saw one of the 360 game ads...flippin brilliant lol. Some war game advertised durin top gear on uk gold. Dont think the ad was ingame at all but was done in cgi, but still, made me want to go out and get the damn game..which wud make me buy the console as id need summit to play it on lol.
before the 360 was released, there was a rugby photo in one of the newspapers and just ignored it while i was skimming thru. Then on the next page it said it was a screenshot from one of the ps3 games for release...lol thought it was a real picture lmao. Top consoles, both are!
