> Action! QVGA video in K790/k800,yes or no

Yeah, but the same could be said for the cameras on phones being not up to a real camera's standards. Whe I first got my digital camera I was impressed by the video quality and now I use the video recording on my camera more than on my real camcorder. It's just convenience. Not everyone's going to have a 'real' mini DV camcorder on the go.

yes, people do care about the video capabilities of the phone, and the blunt fact that sony ericsson are lagging behind by not giving us gvga video on the k800...i dnt no how you can say it is reasonable to give us video capabilities of a phone 2 years ago..

I wouldn't mind seeing at least QVGA video in the K800i, but it's not something that is essential for me. I don't use video that much, and when I do it's for MMS, so QVGA qouldn't be much use.

yes,of course we need at least qvga video.
Nokia is setting the standards now by n93, vga will be common in all high end phones by next year i think and they have qvga or vga in most high end phones now.
Regarding processing power, there is no seperate hardware 3d acceralator for n93. and most arm chips for mobiles has specailized hardware units for encode/decode for videos so as to reduce the usage of cpu (If im remembering correctly, arm can playback qvga by its processors clocked at 50MHz,we are sure that our mobile processors are clocked around 150~300MHz) ,keeps the other units free.So its only a matter of implementation.
