the nokia 8800 picture taken with n80 is inferior to k800 picture quality. screen is better though with wifi i think but i love sonyericsson.

Its worth it if your going to use it, cos i remember you saying you didn't like the battery life(which is understandable) so there is no point in you getting it if you dint like it.


i finally got my N80 and one thing i have to say its very sloooow so unless a fw will change that its going straight back to the shop. other than that i like it but have loads of questions so i might turn this into a "N80 thread" what do you think?

Let me start then:

1) How do i check what fw i have?

2) Is the back sliddy switch for the macro meant to be very tight?

3) is there a way for me to change the settings so when i close the phone it stops asking me to lock it and does that automatically?

That's it for now cos i cant remember the other but there is more lol

May be your fw making it slow, i was quite pleased with the speed of mine actually, there is never any lag. Is yours branded? To check firmware you type in *#0000#, the macro switch is meant to be fairly tight i think so it dont switch while in your pocket or whateva , and i dont think you can change the keypad lock notice when closing the phone, must admit it is annoying

Yup i looked at it and under the N80 there are 2 files, do i download both?

1 more question, when i try and enter my WEP key for my wireless router it only gives me 4/5 characters i can enter and my WEP key is much longer, any way round this?

never used music player in any of the symbians i had, sorry.

with this code u can see the total call time, this one cannot be deleted, u need a special program for it:
