Yeah it can work with hotmail but I'm fairly sure you need to pay for a better account on hotmail to get POP3 access which you'd need.

install as BIS, and do the same as what you did when you are using a BB device on O2.

Blackberry Internet Service (as opposed to Blackberry Enterprise).

Ah I tried that and every time I tried to register a new account with O2 blackberry site (my last one seems to have expired through little use) it says invalid information all the time. Any suggestions?
Im using a M600i, BB software installed, hotmail address trying to log-on/register through my old O2 BB site.
However my newtork provider is Orange, will that make a difference?

you have to have a blackberry account with you carrier. but i just opened one, and pretended I already had a blackberry phone.
then I installed the .sis Blackberry connect file on my M600i, (latest one is 3.37 at secentral.net) as well as the "Blackberry Connect Desktop for Sony Ericsson" (latest is 2.1.1.12) on my PC (also available at secentral.net).
There is also a nice official SE instruction book about all this available at matrixcentro.com site (http://www.matrixcentro.com/micro/blackberry/se_600i.php)
but they don't have the latest BBC and desktop files.
I'm using the BES service, so I also made that live with my company's exchange server. (and connected my t-mobile blackberry account with that email adress).

Can somebody elaborate more on how Blackberry Connect works with BES v4?
I currently use a BB7130g for work but I might look into switching to M600 if it does everything that a Blackberry does & more.
So with Blackberry Connect it sync with email/contact/calendar, correct? Do you just install it and do enterprise activation from the device?

If you've upgraded to R9A you'll need this version of BB Connect.

It's from a Singaporean SE site.
This is the direct link to the software...I think (I just copied it)
