MegaBass(tm) is branded for use with the SE Walkman phones and a few other phones, to include the m600i. Just as the w800i or the w810i is not a CyberShot phone the same applies to the k800i.

as a profesional musician i test my mobiles with hi end headphones, I have Shure E5c and the best for me UM2, the sound on K800 is fully compresed.
1- because is not a walkman why it should be so bad the sound?
2- Camera on a W series is great, maybe as good as on a K800 so why not sound as good as on a W800 series?
We are talking about a high end product it should have the best of the best in there, that is why we pay for it. So I was expecting good camera and good sound, at least as the cheaper one W800.

U sure about it? SO u forgot K750,it HAS MegaBass.
Any way it is completely the matter of marketting, SE does this so that the future W series would still be interesting.

i just ordered a set of Panasonic hje70's, panasonics high end in ear headphones, i hope they dont sound poor on my k800i, as they are said to be are very, very good quality ear phone....
