Excuse me, but have you actually applied the patch? The phone doesn't even handshake with local cells, so it's definitely not connecting to any network. You can't make emergency calls even.

As Tervel says, when you are out of range of any network, the display still says whatever network was active at the time you turned the radio off, even if you are in a completely different cell.

with this patch,we just want to turn off the network reception so it doesn't interfere with electronic devices.it is a hybrid flight mode.yes i have applied the patch.when i chose the office profile and called my mobile(i had it near the tv and the radio)it didn't interfere with them.... Do you use all your profiles?!?if you don't,apply the patch and let it be there and don't use it!it will not harm you...

Further more - if you disable the radio (put it in Office Profile) when you had No reception - the screen will maintain that same status. So basically the on-screen message that you have AFTER activating hte Office Profile is the last one you had prior to doing so, whether it was connected to a network or out of reach - it'll just leave that on the screen, but the radio will be switched OFF.

MAN- you are nuts? YOU HAVE ALREADY FLIGHT MODE..because it's a W800 now. try to go in settings, general.. there you have an option to activate or deactivate this option when phone starts.

Man.. this patch only cut the RF freq...naturaly something happen.. white screen, black screen and everything back to normal. Except that if you are tryn to call you, you'll notice that your operator tells you that you are out of range.. ot you have your phone closed. Same for all who will try to contact you during this office profile is activated. Choose normal and then try again to call you... you'll se that you can receive calls.

Geee.. at least do you know what flight mode means?
Some people work hard for you.. and you throw garbage in them..telling that is not working.. at least you can try, test.. and then post here...

as i said... jeeeeezuuzzzsssss!!!!!

Official Flightmode is a function of ALL W800 software (and all W phones infact) whereby every aspect of the phone excepting Camera and Walkman can be disabled. This means all the menus, organiser functions, file manager, internet, messaging and calls and anything else are unavailable while flightmode is active. Only the walkman and in certain cases the camera are available in offcial flightmode. See here for how to use camera in flightmode.

Offcial flightmode is activated first by enabling flightmode in the startup menu (go to menu, settings, startup menu and select "show"). From then on, whenever the phone is turned on there will be a startup menu before the phone starts fully where you can select Walkman or Phone. Once you select "Phone", the phone starts fully and flightmode is no longer running.

Before then you can use the camera or walkman (but not both - see link above).

VKP Patch Flightmode
Patched flightmode is a little different. In this flightmode only the GSM radio is disabled. Every other aspect of the phone works as normal.

You apply the vkp patch to the phone using FAR. Once the patch is applied, you can enable the patched flightmode by selecting the profile that is last in the list. This is usually Office, but if it has been renamed it will be the profile that is last in the list.

1. When you select this profile the gsm radio will be disabled. I renamed my Office profile to "Flight Mode" but after I applied the patch.

2. When you select another profile, or restart the phone, the gsm radio will be re-enabled. After a restart, the profile will still be set to "office", but the gsm radio will be active. So you must select another profile, then re-select "office" to enable flightmode after a restart.

3. Signal strength and cell information present when the gsm radio is disabled, will remain on the display until the gsm radio is re-enabled and the information can be updated by the network.

I took the patches from this russian site but i cannot find any off patch..

maybe some has got authors email address ?
