Could you replace the firmware files on your PC with the Vanila FW and then just do a reflash when teh SEUS tells you you have the latest firmware? or would it just report an error?

Tried that already didn't work. Actually I started the Update process with my Generic P990 and then plugged-in the Voda one but did not work

Just so you know guys I spoke to our repair center (CRC I think) apprently they don't support the P990 as of yet or have any firmware/parts for it! lol

I can try if no one else has because there is one close to me. However before I do... Will all the data on my phone be lost if they do manage to upgrade it? Like text mesages and picture messages because I really don't want to lose some of them...

Yes you would loose all that. Use the software on the CD to back it all up and then restore it Also if you could try that'd be great!

I already posted that I have the latest R3B01 firmware on my Vodafone P990, SE people did this upgrade at the Smartphone show, it is a Vodafone version with the start/shut down screens etc
