A couple of points here I would like to mention, and these apply to ALL consoles.
"Xbox, well Microsoft actually haven't managed to release a unique or majorly different game at all, since every Xbox and Xbox 360 game can either be bought for another console or the PC, or another better alternative can be found anyway."
- These days games are mostly cross format, thus maximising profit for the developer/publishers. Exclusive releases usally find thier way to other platforms at some stage. I would think that the only format that truly has its own unique games would be to PC.
"Sony's library is much more than a few remakes of what are known great legends of games... Personally I can't wait most for Killzone 2, Metal Gear Solid 4, Final Fantasy XIII, Dynasty Warriors 6, Kingdom Hearts 3, Grand Turismo Vision etc etc."
- All remakes. As I said before, I have friends who play PS and all the games they buy are remakes, nothing new or original. At least the xbox consoles have a decent selection of PC conversions to chose from, not so many on PS. Only Nintendo beat Sony in their release of sequels, how many Mario etc games does one need!?
These days I think the gaming market will become very similar games wise and hardware wise. I personally cannot see Nintendo doing so well after the hype wares off over their offering. The motion sensor in the two consoles IMO could prove to be more of a hinderence in playing games, guess we will see.
This should be an interesting generation of games consoles and hope all do well. I also think that PC's should also be considered a real alternative and could also be added to the title of this thread.

I am so tempted to get a Wii for christmas, Zelda and Monkey Ball look brilliant, though as you said the hype may wear off and so I'm not so sure that I will really love it as much as I should after a while, whether or not I will eventually get bored and so wasting £220~... What I've done in the past is Nintendo for my handheld and Sony for my home console, I think in the end I'll just keep it this way.
Anyway just found this, and yeah it's actual gameplay with some film camera movement... no need to flame or anything, but just thought I'd share some eye candy.

^ Wrong, although it is the intro yes, as you can see it's using actual gameplay mixed into it to create the awesome footage. I know, I played it on a trip to Berlin at a massive Sony shop.
Have just watched the 360 Gears of War GameSpot video review, looks awesome and apparently next year we'll see it on Vista as well.

Well I've actually been promised by my mum a PS3 for my 18th, woo yeah!
Just need to get a Wii now, now that the pricey one is on my mums back lol.
