Can someone post please what the SEUS software reports your firmware to be when you update it?
For example, mine shows 'World Generic2' and I think this maybe the reason I am not seeing some of the features here; my phone is unbranded, so maybe I just need to download a different update for it? Some features mentioned here do not work for me ... example, when I plug in the USB cable, it doesn't show me the screen posted here.
Thanks.

I just ran SEUS and it gave me another update? Hrmm ... seems last time it didn't update properly or something.
There were no error messages though, it did the downloading (very slowly); reached about 32% then jumped to the cute Updating software screen where it shows it uploading it to your phone.
This time I ran it, it just jumped directly to the Updating software screen.
On a related note, I really wish SE would stop making their update application less 'cute' and more functional; like giving the firmware revisions and maybe a change log. I would rather have that than some java + flash animations.
Atleast fix the downloading screen so it gives a download rate and proper percentage instead of the huge animation and wrong count.
I will post back with the new firmware that I receive this time.

Okay ... so there was another update and I plugged by phone in, started SEUS.
Now its been sitting on the 'Updating software' screen with 100% showing for the past ... 15 minutes or so.
Hrmm ... not sure if its stuck, hung, or what. I'm afraid to unplug the phone for fear of bricking it.
Any ideas?

Now that I have the new firmware, I have noticed one thing.
My screen starts flickering even when its on the 'Today' screen; it didn't do this on the previous firmware.

New thing I discovered with the new firmware:
When importing contacts from the SIM, it asks you now to select the first name from the fields.

I've had the following problems:
With my contacts after i restored the backup, names duplicated up. e.g.
1 contact is called sarah and she just has a mobile number, another contact is tom and he just has a home number. tom's home number is now under sarah's so now the contact reads, Sarah Tom.
this has happened with a few other contacts, they have doubled up for some reason :S
Also when entering times for alarms and such, i can't see the numbers to change them if that makes sense, the numbers go white. it can't be the theme as it never happened with the last firmware.
Also with my music folder on the phones memory, folder names have doubled up also making it impossible to find tunes. (as it did with the phone contacts)
has this happened to anyone else?
