That's a good point. iPhone is a smartphone with first party apps only. That means Apple has full control of development and only releases apps if they decide to. No one will be able to write their own apps for this phone.

Typical Apple proprietary shananigans.

Some popular SE myths here in the Philippines:

1) "Don't use a memory card w/ capacity greater than 512mb, it'll slow your phone down."

-- I've heard many a phone dealer say this to customers. My theory is that this could be true of Nokia phones, so they assumed that the same phenomenon holds true for SE phones. Which isn't, as many Esatonians have testified.


2) "SE phones are difficult to use. (Referring to the UI)"

-- ...because this is still largely Nokia country.


3) The "i" in SE models means... well let me just give an example:

"Hey, I just bought a K750i."
"Really? My brother has a K750 only. You have the latest model!"

-- Again, because this is Nokia country. Remember how Nokia named their slightly improved Series 40 by adding an "i" to the lower model? For example, 7250i, 6610i.

If fact: HighSpeed is JUST A TEXT... 'coz transfer rate on Sony, for example, are lower than SanDisk ones.. there's a thread with full article..

And when it finally arrives, it's {insert any operator you dislike} branded, with operator-brand menus and icons, some original functionality crippled, impossible to download ringtones or other stuff from anywhere but the operator's pay-per view portal, and, of course, it's operator locked.
