sa kaso ng nokia, karamihan naman ng sinasabing suporta na nakukuha ng mga users ay UN-OFFICIAL. pag nasira, iyak ka na lang.
@mitz

@higher, regarding sa sw upgrade na walang warranty, i just like to share to all my experience sa gh. i was using a a1018 ericson phone then and i want my line to be openned, while in process, nag lock yung phone, ayaw tumangap ng khit anong sim, well i forced them to replace the unit.
delicado sa gh, coz nung una, sinisisi nila yung unit, well i have to show some verbal/physical force for them to change thier minds!
i had a new unit at the end of the day.

T68mc withou mms, you can have your unit converted to IE at hk and sg. Now with the t68mc that already an IE when bought , ok na yan. Fyi, most T68mc in grey market are already IE. But best if you avoid mc/ie.

if they dont provide support for the mc here, whats the use of the international warranty? bs lang ba yun? or mebbe its just the parts that are covered by that. mc users, if ur phones are workin fine with R2E then dont get an upgrade... if it aint broke, dont fix it. btw, im using my gf's mc... she's using my T68i

never rush to buy something just because its cheap. hanap na rin ako sa gh, research lang

kung gusto nyo ng petition for SE pm me and set natin.

in-explain ko na yang international warranty before, but i'm sure natabunan na yan.
let's say you're from sweden or the u.s. or singapore (your phone was legitimately purchased from an official dealer) and you visited the Philippines. So nandito ka sa bansa as a foreign visitor. Tapos nasira yung ringer mo, or speaker ng phone mo na still under warranty. Sony Ericsson Philippines will attend to that.
Baliktarin natin, you are a Pinoy, with a phone purchased from Semicon (legitimate Sony Ericsson dealer).
Yung simmula pa lang mali na when you purchased from non-official dealer because in the first place, you have no warranty to talk about - smuggled nga eh.
Sana naman maintindihan nyo na.
Kung mag pepetition kayo, make sure you're on the right side of the law. Kaso i-pepetition nyo to support smuggled units? How can you win?
My cousin, upon my endorsement, bought a T68mc converted to ie w/ R5D007 firmware. When he asked me about it, I laid all the facts to him straight - walang warranty, hindi ma u-upgrade, etc. Ngayon alam nya na lahat ng facts, i told him it's your call kung bibilhin mo yan. And he did, and knowing those limitations, he's not looking for/expecting warranty.
Maluwag, sa loob, walang surprises, kasi nasabihan before hand.

The mc models of the t68 were for a specified market... you can always refer to the manual of your phones (specifically page 79) to know the limitations of the international warranty and it is clear that the local SE office may not support it because the product's interior or exterior may be different from equivalent models sold in this country.
Another requisite for the warranty is an official receipt from the dealer which I doubt the dealers from Greenhills could give... they usually give out unregistered sales invoices or unofficial receipts.

Unauthorized upgrades will also screw up your phone, in one way or another. If you do intend to make a major purchase (ex. T68) Always buy from authorized dealers (with warranty). In the long run, the extra money you paid for warranty would be beneficial to the user. Gray market phones have no future here in the Philippines. Pasensyahan na lang.Petitioning for authorized service points to accommodate smuggled units is totally useless and absurd.
