because the majoroity of users get sick of learning new systems all the time. It's UI Design 101: Keep it familiar across models or you won't develop any brand loyalty

I want to get a decent camera phone, and I was thinking of getting the k800. It has gone down in price. 100 pounds on Payasyougo.
Dont u think it would be worth it?
I have a w810i. Love teh phonebut recently its battery is draining quickly. And it does not take good pictures at night. Other than that is a great phone

Brand Loyalty

you mean slaves of the brands... People are purchasing NOKIA just because is NOKIA... they dont consider that "SMART NOKIAS" are extremly slow systems... od they are buying SE because of walkman !!! Progres is good... i dont say that all models should be differen.... but still .. u know what i mean:)

but liking a particular UI is not a brand slave or fanboy. UI is more about function than style or image.
Loyalty doesn't have to be blind you know. You can prefer a particular UI for it's ease of use or ergonomics without being a fanboy.

I am a newbie to Sony Ericsson phones since i am a Motorola fan. But im so impressed with the k800 from reading reviews alone so i buy one and it never disappoints me. Now I am both a Moto and an SE fan.

well...i don't believe this Goth Fifty...
to be fair,K800 has got a considerable improved UI comparing to K750,and has great performance while running java apps, navigating through file manager etc.
it's a pain for someone who is addicted to k800 to do the same things with k750,at least for me...

^^second that!
if K750 was JP-8 based it'll be more legandary

anyway K800 is the best phone for price-features ratio atm imho

I give the K800 6/10
I would have give it 8/10 if it had better overall volume and a better camera.
Beside that it is the SE phone I like most of the other 3 SE phone I have owned. (T630, K700, K600)
But after some modding of the acoustic and camera driver it is now very good. But it is a long way to go before it replaces my digital camera.
