> O2 UK Releasing new tariffs with-in 2 weeks
Bookmark topic
This guy called Morgan in this mobile forum
http://www.3g.co.uk/3GForum/s[....]ng+new+tariffs+with-in+2+weeks who works for 02 says this new data plan coming out is £10 a month with only 20 mb of data limit which i think it's a joke really and if this is the case i i'll probably jump ships again. Can anyone one from esato who works for 02 can confirm this for me please.

Hi Upper,
I was in an 02 Store last week and the guy i was talking to definitely knew his stuff and even went and checked for me it is definitely 1gb but as i said for this you have to be on a £35pm minimum cost contract. Maybe what he is quoting is for lower Tariff's and this is one of the reason's why so many people are switching to T-Mobile and now 3. If you are going to use Data it really is a no choice situation, the recent new price Data plans from both 02 and Vodafone are no where near competitive enough. So IMO they will continue to suffer churn as more customers buy devices capable of Data they just won't pay these silly prices and will just port their numbers to the other Networks.

Cheers Dogmann for clarifying that, I hope that is the case as you mentioned above that it's for lower tariffs customers. As I'm already on a £35 a months tariff it shouldn't bother me.
Many Thanks

Hi Guys
Ignore my previous note in relation to 37mb tariff with O2. The official news is that it is going to be £10 for 20MB.
I know thats crap, if they are going to release a better bolton for data they aint told me about it yet. However the new tariff's that they are going to be offering, you will be able to use your inclusive mins to access the internet via CSD dial up. So it looks like they have gone back to the old way of the genie tariffs where you got so many wap mins, they are bringing that option back.
This is the latest news i have heard.

Thats hard to believe as someone like 02 why would they wan't to go backwards using old technology when they have 3g or GPRS technology? would they not wan't to take advantage of this? I mean it must be good using that dial up using old phones which only has wap but todays phones can handle full html web pages and espeacially they have pocket pc range it wouldn't make sense if they can't make proper use out of them.

I reckon Mr Miyagi is Business Development for T-Mobile at this rate! Am in the same position, end of contract, want an N95 and want data to use it with. Am on O2 at the moment but based on the details so far, I will be packing up and heading for T-Mob WnW.
Miyagi, I am sure T-Mobile would welcome you with open arms. The number of people fleeing O2 for T-Mob based on this info must be huge!
