I think mobiles in schools should be banned, period. They're wrong on so many levels - unhealthy for kids, anti-social, and totally obstructive to education. They should just be handed in at registration and given back at the end of the day, IF they have to be brought in at all. Anyone caught with one during the day gets it locked up for the rest of the week.

As for whole law thing, yes it's soft in places, but Britain isn't a hard-line muslim state, it's a western democracy, and it's based on a very different culture. The "eye for an eye" theory is all very well, but it ignores the fact that the system can be wrong, and that the people dealing out "justice" are themselves fallible - it's all very well calling for rapist's tadgers to be chopped off, but one day you could be the alledged rapist, you could get wrongly convicted, and it could be your knackers on the chopping block! What do they say to you after you prove your innocence later, soz? Have it back in a jar?

I think he means unhealthy in that it provides a distraction from PROPER schoolwork, and otherwise i agree with boinng.

Hey wait a minute ppl THERE'S NO ISLAMIC LAW about chopping of a guys "johnny bravo" for rape(if any country is doing it it's actually wrong)!!!yes he should be executed for murder and one hand chopped of for continued theft so it's not a case of catching someone once without solid evidence and chopping his hands of as there's lots of conditions as to how a person can be judged as guilty and secondly no one would even TRY false accusation as the penalty for false accusation is much much worse!!back to the topic, did the swan die?

Oh and i think the punishment for rape is either getting forty lashes or stoned to death depending on the judges decision and while the stoning seems harsh it's certainly a good enough deterant so ppl wont even THINK of raping.

Scum indeed, The government should introduce life sentences for animal cruelty.

Thats an interesting fact Batesie i didn't know that, maybe us humans can learn a thing a two from Swans when it comes to relationships.

Scum maybe, but maybe not life sentence. In my opinion however, were to easy on criminals in the UK, we dont punish them enough. I read an article about a sick person who raped a 3 year old girl and left her on the street only to recieve 3 years! Is the world insane? Pedos should be hung by there bollocks on a tree. I read in the paper how some judge wants sentences decreased. Preety strange I think

Thats what the Islamic Law teaches.

does it not teach you to be a good Muslim and not to steal/rape/kill in the first place???

You cant really say that. All religions teach not to do all that in the first place

kingbooker you're right but only in Muslim countries the faith and the government are so closely tied.

No one forces any one into religion, its a choice, just like those who make the choice to rape/kill/steal
