As I wrote previous. If you use GPRS you don't pay for the time, but the amounts of data. You can check the amount of bytes in your datacounter as I described above.(1.000.000 byte = 1MB)
If you use call-up I guess you will have an unfortunate pleasure when you get your phonebill.
By the way -it's not easy to SMS someone when you don't know the phonenumber.
