I don't think GPRS is fast enough for VoIP (ie. 10 times slower than 3G, I'm not gonna even start on wifi!) You could probably just use GPRS for chatting. Otherwise, sign up for a 3G data plan or something, or just stick to wifi

Well, I tried Fring on UIQ3 with GPRS connection several times, and every time i got that "Hanged blue globe" problem, and every time i had to switch off the phone mode kill fring and come back to phone mode to continue operation. I thought it is normal, as GPRS is not fast enough for P990i.
Now, last day I bought a N70 for my dad and out-of-curiosity i inserted my sim into that, installed fring there and tried fring test call with GPRS and say what? It worked "JUST FINE"!! Not superb quality like wi-fi I admit, but...fine...
I guess the UIQ version of fring is not as smartly built as the S60 version then. Pity

its not looking good ive installed it all. but it wont work i think i need the new firmware update but that wont install because apparently i havnt got macromedia player but i have the full version? the sony update service keeps saying incompatible version of flash? im confused ive tryed everything all i need is the update.
