Completely irrelevant. The person who opened this topic wants to know why the K800i takes bad pictures in comparison with the K750i at full resolution. Whether it's something that will keep you awake all night is a totally different question.

Exactly. I don't expect perfection from phone a camera. But I do expect photos the are better than the W800. And I do expect photos that are true 3mp photos. I have photo's from my w800 which I am amazed came out of a 2mp phone camera. But I am yet to get any wow factor out of my K800.

The K790's camera is without a doubt better than the W800's (I have both). It's just that the W800 is way ahead of other 2MP camera-phones, while the K790 isn't that much better than other 3.2MP shooters.
It may not really leave the W800 in a ditch quality wise in perfect conditions but normally it takes better pictures. It also has much better software, less lag when taking a picture, faster auto-focus, brighter pictures with less noise and at least in my case, the pictures generally don't come out blurry. It's hard to take crisp pictures in a W800, your hand needs to be super steady.
The Xenon flash is another nice touch, nice for parties or get-togethers in dark restaurants.

I do not exactly know what the reason is for your experience, but give this a thought for a while. I guess the sensor of K800 is probably of same or very similar size as the one in K750. Sqeezing in more pixles on same sensor size usually results in worse picture. The reason is the pixles must be smaller and more tightly spaced, which usually cause more noise and loss of details in pictures due to interference.
This is nothing specific to K800, but a generall thumb of rule.

take note: it's a prototype phone yet before gsmarena decided to put it in a fight against the final retail N80 and you will obviously notice the resolution advantage upon the 3mp phones against K750. and afaik the focal length of the K800 is 5.2mm while K750 is at 4.8mm. proving it's sensor size advantage over the K750 so K800 has no problems with the sensor nor the resolution. but on your experience the algorithm problem is the culprit of that poor quality images. and so far i haven't seen any issues with the K800 pictures posted on esato camera photo gallery

I highly doubt that SE is cheating us. They'd know better. The only thing that I can conclude from the photos is that the K800 sharpens its photos much more than the K750, which is noticeable from the halos and jagginess.

Boy would I say so! However, I like this conversation! I'm glad for it actually. Whomever took photos of the glasses look perfect. You mentioned you can see something, but didn't state where the flaws are.
If you're going to experiment, stay away from pen drawings/pencil drawings EVEN if assisted by a ruler. Y? Because those instruments/tools don't FULLY glide smooth, there are some inconsistencies on the surface which will cause the pen to jump around on.
Please continue to experiment, but it must be a double blind test for it to be valid enough; for SE & us. Use a W810/K750, K790/K800, against a NON-Auto Focus 2MP SE phone like the W880/W850. Take several photos at the same focal length, settings, and see from there.
Might I suggest taking photos of a subject with hair flowing in the wind, trees roughly from a 5-20 ft range. I suggest this as you will see some hair fibres, or tree branches that DON'T come out clearly.
Lastly, every SE phone that I've had, seems to be better at taking photos, the more I take them. The first 40 are always crap, blurry, smudged in quality. After that I get better without changing settings in day light.
