I unbranded my O2 supplied K810i this morning and just tried to see if this worked for me...it did!

Is what I have just created...

Let me know should you need any settings from my phone.

All I did was take a picture, choose Blog This, uploaded the picture and was told a shortcut had been created and did I want to view it. I also received a text with a token for the website so I could set it all up.

Could you have a look at the settings that I posted on the previous pages...there are 3 areas that need to be looked at.

If you could post as much as possilbe that would be great!

Sorry, just noticed I haven't posted the 3 areas...that was on a Google groups thread!

We'll need the Data connection details, the details of the Internet connection (found below the Data connection details option in the Connections settings menu.

We also need (although I'm not sure this is relevant or not) the settings in your messaging. This is found in Messaging > Settings > Picture Messaging > Profile > More (this is all from memory as am currently on the phone to O2 so can't check).

Also, where did you get your settings from...were they in the phone when it arrived or did you have to request them and if so where from...Customer Services or via the website?

Also, what are you connections called...O2 Wap GPRS or O2 PostPay GPRS or O2 ISPGPRS etc

It's important to identify which connection is actually being used by the internet profile and the messaging profile.

I hope I haven't confused the hell out of you!!

I sent the Email and MMS settings to my phone this morning from the SE website, I have to modify the email setting slightly to allow my to check my UKOnline account from my phone.

I have O2 GPRS and O2 MMS under data accounts (Named exactly that).

If it matters, I sent the Email settings to my phone first and then the MMS settings.

Okay a couple of things.

I went to the SE site and used the configurator to download the wap and MMS settings...I tried Email settings but I didn't have appropriate email details to complete the setup.

Anyways, I ended up with slightly different WAP data setup and Internet profile settings.

my data connection was using wap.o2.co.uk rather than mobile.o2.co.uk and the username was o2wap rather than o2web and my internet profile for gprs was set to use a proxy.

I changed these to match yours.

I tried to blog and....IT WORKED!!!

That's right people...you heard me...it worked!

Having spent the afternoon messing around with my phone and on the phone to O2 it's now working...kinda!

I received my token txt but when I tried to view the blog it just sat there...no errors or anything. It DID however create a bookmark but I tried to view that too and still no joy.

I've played with the settings to no end and I think the key is in receiving the mobile web settings rather than the wap settings AND also not using the proxy.

This appears to be the only difference I've found having tried LOTS of permutations of settings.

I'll now use my token and try and submit additional blogs and see what happens.

Do you have any "Professional" looking animated themes and also any decent games for the K810i you could throw my way to save me some data costs (Blogging is going to mount up, I can tell )?

Another (and hopefully final) update.

I called back the O2 customer services centre as last time I was put through to a manager called Jay.

I explained that it now worked when using the 'mobile' settings rather than the 'wap' settings.

He explained that when you phone up and request settings they can send out either 2 seperate messages which are the gprs and mms settings seperately or they can send what he called the 'Active' settings which is a single message with the settings combined...it's the 'Active' settings which use the mobile prefix for the APN.

So, if in doubt call O2 and ask them to send you the 'Active' settings and make sure you're clear that you don't want the Wap settings etc.

Also once the settings have arrived and are installed double check them against the previous settings posted - they work!
