There is a big difference between plain vanilla UMTS and HSDPA. Here in the USA, Cingular has the Nokia N75 and it is just regular UMTS. Most people get around 300-330 Kbp/s. On HSDPA enabled phones it is often greater then 800 and peaks above 1Mbp/s. HSDPA makes a world of difference between data connections.

@teeboy
In the fourth quarter (basically at the end of the year). So the earliest should be October.

Well then i guess the rate at which the n95 processes pages is the bottleneck then as really i can hardly notice the diff between 3g and hsdpa.or the only other explanation i can think of is vodacoms hsdpa server is not delivering the kind of speeds achievable...because i'm sure as hell not jumping for hsdpa.

Yes, the phone data write speed can be a bottleneck.

at first i was deciding to buy w960i... but now after looking through all the specs n stuff... k850i seems to have the upper hand... like wifi... im sure u can't find it everywhere u go... so that limits the use of it... touchscreen isn't a big deal nemore since the screen isn't that big either way... and 5mp really makes a difference when ur a crazy pic taker... and w96oi is seriously bulky... and when it comes to taking pics... doesn't cyber-shot make a difference.... like how the pics come out in the end? so doesn't that make a difference between w960i's camera n k800i?

w960i, bulky? its thinner than k850, no? touch screen pointless coz screen is small? 2.6" is small? w960i camera will still be good, great for a phone, it will be like the k800 quality...

wifi, cant use it every, of course not, but its free, hsdpa costs some users, and some countries dont have hsdpa yet (and may not have it when k850 is out), so whats the benefit of it if they dont....
