Yup mine has never made a sound when pressing the multimedia key.... Unlike my N73 which did make a sound....

Rule of thumb. Backup/restores hardly ever work properly. Would you do and oil change, then use the same oil and filter again? Same thing applies. Do a fresh install.
@Dicky Snapples,
I had the same problem until I went out and tried to update via NSU rather than reading the website. Apparently the site has not been updated.

well, it takes 5 mins to lock on, A-Gps works sometimes (on t-mobile unlimited internet if it makes a difference).
I was on 3.5G as well.

had mine for a few days on updated firmware
everything seems the same 2 me, accept i have that flashing light after the keypad locks. and my backup didnt work on this fireware either? which i found pretty odd. also gallery loads MUCH quicker.
battery seems the same

not when on the memory card they dont
and also, if your in the multimedia menu go to options>menu sounds>on and you will get the menu sounds, they're pretty cool
